What Do I offer?

Southampton, MA - Office

In my experience, everyone is in a different spot when it comes to how they integrate an electronics arrangement into their program. It’s important to get the right product to suit your needs and benefit your ensemble. New to sound design? Let’s start light on the electronics book. Not only to get the students used to operating the equipment, but also the staff and designers. Not your first rodeo? Let’s really dig in!

I offer sound design for all types of marching ensembles, as well as sung vocals depending on the arrangement. I can also talk with you about your setup, and provide advice for optimizing the electronic hardware and software integration within your program.

In each arrangement I use the software audio program Pro Tools to write and Sibelius for notation. More often than not, I will transfer what I write in Pro Tools into easy to use MainStage files, and also Logic Pro or regular audio files for indoor winds ensembles. Outside of my computer, I regularly write with an Arturia PolyBrute, DSI Prophet ‘08 SE, TC Helicon VoiceLive 2, and various guitars. I also record audio through a Soyuz 017 FET microphone, and an Apollo Twin X audio interface.

Like other pieces of the puzzle, each designer brings their own background, inspiration, and identity to the vision of the overall program. While there are many sound designers out there to choose from, it’s all about finding one that’s the right fit for you and your project. Feel free to take a look through my audio examples, music on streaming services, or even schedule a Zoom call with me! I’d be more than happy to talk shop with you before any final decisions are made.
